Time

Time is such a strange and interesting concept. I mean, yes it is a real thing however it is so subjective and perceptive all at the same time. In the work that I do, I cannot measure it in a 40-hour work week not even a 50 or 80 hour work week….I would call it more of a 24/7 lifestyle which if you know anything about housing and residence life on a college campus that is spot on.

Seriously thinking about time I am twenty something year old which is quite young if I say so myself and you think you have all the time in the world to accomplish so much but a whole year can pass and you wonder what happened to the year…and you feel like what did I get done that I set out to.

Sometimes time just passes us by and we have these dreams and hopes that in all reality we should have the time to work on them and achieve them but in reality you get through one day and find all that you have accomplished is just work and by the time day ends all you have time for is a quick dinner meal and well rest so you can start the next day all over again. It’s crazy!

Even in relationships and grown-up life things like marriage and having children as I stated earlier I am young and I know realistically that I have time to accomplish these things however every time I log into Facebook I see a new engagement post, baby announcement from friends my age and younger. I’ve also experienced family and friends that had children while we were in high school and sometimes I’ll get the question what are you waiting for since they already 2 or 3 kids and have been married for as long as we’ve been out of high school.

With that question I don’t know if there is a right time that I am waiting for but I believe that these things will happen when they are meant to happen and honestly have faith and trust in God’s time.

I’ve went on a bit of rant but time is something that always makes me think especially now that I am no longer a student. I used to think when all I have is my work to focus on I will have so much time to myself to work on my hobbies and interests but as I mentioned my job is not just a job but a 24/7 lifestlye.
