My Niche
Niche…
As defined by the google dictionary is an adjective that means denoting or relating to products, services, or interests that appeal to a small, specialized section of the population.
You may be wondering about the random word of the day definition given above. Well as I mentioned previously, this .com experience is a new one for me and I am so beyond pumped about it. However in most, if not all, of my research plus you know talks with those close to me (cue:looks at significant other) you must have your niche to make it out in the blogging world.
Things like parenting, travel, food, fashion, and general lifestyle ideas are typically bigger blogging umbrellas that your niche may then fit under like parenting as a single mom, traveling abroad under $200 amount of money, meal prep on the college student’s budget and things of that nature.
When you have a niche, it is very resourceful for both the reader and the blogger. You know exactly what you will be getting from the blogger and the blogger has a clear message to share. So you’re on my site and you are wondering what is this Ciggy girl and her blog all about?
Great question! I’m glad you asked. Well this website is honestly a dream come true and dreams have always been my passion. A few years back, a phenomenal speaker and author, Pastor Amie Dockery, prompted us to write a mission for our life and here is mine: To inspire, uplift, and encourage others to pursue their dreams by going after mine.
Dreams and achieving them still seems a bit broad to be my niche but at the moment that is what I am focused on in this dreamer’s journey of mine.
Before, I sign off a big part of going after one’s dreams is putting it down somewhere that you can actually see it aka Vision Boards!! I just so happened to have an awesome friend who is going after one of her dreams this summer and will be hosting a workshop on just that in the Dallas, TX area on Sunday, July 22, 2018 3PM to 6PM for a super low cost!!
