Planning

Lately, I’ve been thinking about the future and making plans for it. I shared previously that among my top strengths is Futuristic. So I am constantly thinking about the future. I am the girl that makes 5 and 10 year plans. They don’t always go according to plan but it helps me to have a goal/vision in sight. Generally, I have success or a variation of it that comes from the plan.

I typically do this in my work life and was recently asked about what’s next in my personal life. It was a valid question and one I think worth answering but not necessarily one I felt equipped to plan out alone. I feel like a lot of life deals with relationships, especially in the personal life, and it takes more than one person to make it happen.

With all that said, I’ve recently had the pleasure of hearing author and success coach, Dave Martin speak at my church where he talked about the importance of planning. He shared that we should be planning in every area of our life and that a plan today is better than a perfect plan later.

For me, this was a great reminder as perfection may never come and in waiting for that moment, dreams remain just that, a dream versus a reality.

So friends, stop waiting and start planning out your life now. Go in thinking what’s the best thing that can come from it? Answer: Things you want will actually begin to happen!
