The Dream is the Journey

Happy New Month Dreamers!

Over the past couple of months I have been having similar conversations with various people in my life around dreams coming true but this hesitation around it and the other night I couldn’t sleep and wrote in my journal.

I didn’t know what I was going to write but I knew I had to and here’s what came.

The thoughts were overwhelming. The reality before me was a dream that I imagined. And even though I dreamed of this now that it was here I couldn’t quite believe it or believe that it was here for me. It’s like my destiny was knocking at the door. I knew it was them but couldn’t quite open it. I hesitated but why…

It’s crazy we fantasize and dream about our dreams coming true but when it’s staring you in the face its almost unbelievable…its crazy because if its a friend or family member telling me this type of story I’d be like you better go get it (humming to the tune of Mary Mary’s Go Get Your Blessings) but when it comes to me taking my own advice there is this pause before the jump.

My coin-phrase “excitified” comes to mind, you know the idea of being both excited and terrified about what’s next. You are excited about the new endeavor but terrified of the unknown. Many people think that when you accomplish a dream. That’s it. The journey’s over. That’s wrong my friends. The truth is that accomplishment is only part of the journey and once you reach it there is a new goal or focus. It could be to maintain and grow but as long as we are living we have to grow and learn. We don’t just stop.

This blog is about a about A Dreamer’s Journey…it’s about living life. How we work to tackle our dreams….what keeps us motivated…the obstacles we face and conquer along the way and how they grow.

Dreaming the dream is easy but stepping into and living it out is where the real journey begins.
