Time Flies..

Hey there dreamers – new and past!

For those that may be new to the blog, a quick intro since it has been a minute.

I’m Ciggy and I’m a dreamer…a big one!!! The past few months of radio silence has been me living out the journey and tackling various dreams. I broke them out down there to give you an update…but I’m also more curious to know what you all are up to as we enter this Autumn season! Please share your dreams and the latest in your journey in the comments below…I would love to connect and continue to encourage one another as we go after all that we dream!

Health & Fitness Dreams

• Memorial Day 2022 started a new fitness journey for me. My sister, one of the most disciplined people I know, offered to help me meet some dreams of mine in this area. I’ve seen her over the years continue to transform herself into a more fit and toned individual and all I had to do was say yes to her plan for me in regards to nutrition, eating times, and workout plans. In the past I’ve always said no or would do my own altered version of it but not fully commit but something was different this time around.

I heard myself saying yes to her plan even before hearing what the plan is…

Surprisingly I even found myself committing to the plan wholeheartedly with a few cheat days…well moments… here and there but these were planned and intentional as well.

I am proud to say in just 4 months I have reached my goal weight that I’ve had for like years and it feels good!

Relationship Dreams

With Family

• Over the years I tend to focus a lot on my educational and career type goals and my family has always been supportive or understanding of that but this year I also wanted to be intentional about the important people in my life, my family.
• I’m lucky to now be in the same state with a cousin that I hadn’t been in the same place with for over 20 years and so the chance to reconnect and share life together as adults has been great!!
• Outside of this cousin, most of my family is spread out and still not in my residing state but I’ve had the pleasure to surprise my Nana and an uncle for their birthday, celebrate my mom’s “Sextieth” Birthday as she says, and surprise and spend time with my Father for Father’s Day – something that I had not done since I was like a toddler.

With Dating

• I’m a hopeless romantic and love love and the idea of love! Though I may not have a new relationship status update yet, I’m happy to share that these past few months I’ve taken some moments to put myself out there and attempt to date and balance time for this amongst my other more businessy goals.

Business Dreams

• I’ve continued to work on my various business dreams and plans! Though it may not look how I originally envisioned it, I feel that God is blessing the work that I am doing and giving me the strength and endurance to continue and make the right connections. I’ve been working on proposals and pitches and I am just grateful for where God is taking me on this path.

Acting Dreams

• In the words of Konstantin Stanislavski “There are no small roles, only small actors.”
• I was a theater minor and part of me taking the leap out to this new place was to work on this acting dream of mine amongst the many other goals I have. I’m proud to say I’ve been auditioning more and had my first paid gig as an actress this past summer.
• Hope to have more roles and more to share in the future.

Travel Dreams

• This past summer I had the chance to do something that took me forever to do…I got my first stamp in my passport! (This happened to be my 3rd passport in this life and my first ever stamp LOL).
• Thanks to my friend getting married with a destination beach wedding (that was absolutely gorgeous) and a celebration of my sister’s birthday, I was able to fly and travel to St. Lucia and stay in my first all-inclusive resort!! It was so much fun and let’s just say excursions were had from horseback riding on the beach to ziplining to volcanic mud baths and hikes with amazing views…it was a trip to remember.
• Hopefully this will be the first of many future stamps.

Faith Dreams

• I have spent more time these past few months soaking in the Word – through my own personal reading time and listening to various sermons.
• Since moving to this new city, I have not locked in on a new home church just yet but there is one that I tend to go back to more often than not and I just signed up to participate in their small groups – which is that community of faith like-minded individuals that I was needing.
• I know God has a purpose for me here and I’m learning in new levels how to fully trust Him, His Plan, His Timing, and His Will over my life. This part of my journey is pushing my faith walk and I’m so excited to see what God is doing next!!
