Love Where You R

Tis the season of love dear dreamers!

Yep…that means it is February and love is in the air…typically you think romance and partner love but love expands to much more beyond that…your family, friends, yourself, and I’m learning the space I am in right now.

As a very big dreamer I tend to spend a lot of headspace in the future – the what will bes, you know, once you reach certain goals and dreams…

However two thoughts and stories come to mind…

The first is sometimes you don’t have to wait for this future date to come along and you can go after what you desire right now and in this moment. 

Luckily I have an amazing sister who always encourages me to push towards my dreams and goals. The worst that can happen is an immediate no but it’s not the end of the story and honestly by taking this Bold Type approach it always pushes me forward.

And second I am learning that where I am right now is the future of my yester year…

This month I had a truly great experience of meeting up with several friends that I have not seen in 7 years…

1. First of all where did the time freaking go…
2. Second, seeing everyone together was as if no time had passed yet of course it has. We are all literally in different places and spaces in life yet are connections are real and what bonds us.
3. Third, Life and events have happened in each of our lives…some amazing, some life-changing, some not so great, and some very defining yet we’ve all grown and continue to move forward!

In this time together I just could not stop smiling as we were able to spend time just reconnecting with one another in person and we also did this in an amazing place!!!

Our future aka present day may not be exactly as we imagined it would be but we are here and stronger and living out dreams and realities we didn’t always think possible.

There will always be dreams and some part of me prepping for my future dreams to be achieved but at this moment I am realizing I am exactly where I am supposed to be and not just dreaming but doing and living out my dreams!

It’s honestly a surreal feeling but I do love where I am in this moment and I know there’s more still to come but so grateful and blessed to be where I am right now at this moment.

So this Valentine’s Day I just want to say how much I love this moment and season of where I am. I feel like I am where God is calling me to be and doing what I am supposed to do.
