  • Godfidence & Gratitude

Happy New Year Dreamers. I wrote this in the last few days of 2023 but I still wanted to share… Wow its that time of the year again, you know the end of the year and I have so much to be thankful for and grateful. It’s honestly been a year of growth and dreams coming true and reaching new levels. I can say that my faith has been stretched and I’m so grateful because I’m walking in a Godfidence like I’ve never walked in before. Does that mean I’m done dreaming and accomplished every single thing I’ve wanted…no not at all but what it means is that God is…

  • Love Where You R

Tis the season of love dear dreamers! Yep…that means it is February and love is in the air…typically you think romance and partner love but love expands to much more beyond that…your family, friends, yourself, and I’m learning the space I am in right now. As a very big dreamer I tend to spend a lot of headspace in the future – the what will bes, you know, once you reach certain goals and dreams… However two thoughts and stories come to mind… The first is sometimes you don’t have to wait for this future date to come along and you can go after what you desire right now and…

  • Reflections & Intentions

To be read in the style of Bridgerton-ish circa March 2022’s post Dear Dreamers… It is the 31st of December, Year 2022. I can’t quite believe it, can you? Today is the last day of Year 2022…which means, dear readers, it is time for reflections… This past year was a whirlwind for Lady Ciggy indeed. Earlier this year I recounted about my move to a new city at the top of the year in the post New Year, New City and though I hadn’t clearly spelled out all goals or resolutions for the year the main focus was to move forward towards my dreams and living out God’s will for…

  • Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day!!! I just wanted to send a big Happy Mother’s Day to all of the wonderful women in my life. It’s not just my own momma that I think of today… My own momma is absolutely hilarious, honest, loving, so incredibly understanding, and continues to be someone that I can always go to in times of need even if we are miles apart. …but it’s also my Ma, Nana, my many Aunties, my Sisters, Friends, Cousins, my Godmother, and even my pastors, some mothers, and even mothers-to-be. I have been truly blessed to be surrounded by amazing women in my life. It’s because of the ladies in my…

  • Bridgerton’s Influence

In honor of the latest season of one of my favorite shows, this post should be read in the style of Bridgerton… Dearest Dreamers, It’s been quite some time since I’ve caught up with you and all I can say is that this year seems to be moving quite swiftly. I would prefer to catch up with you on a more regular basis but alas that was not in the cards these past few months. Last we met, I shared that Lady Ciggy has moved to Atlanta, GA in an effort to go after everything that God has in store for her. I will say that Lady Ciggy is continuing…

  • God Big

Hi there dreamers and Happy November! I have this superb, excited, overjoyed, and just grateful energy right now. This post is titled Godbig because I want us all to go after those extremely grand and large dreams that God instills in us. I’ve decided to share one of my recent journal entries with you to further elaborate and explain… Journal Entry from Saturday, October 30, 2021 OMG…I can’t stop crying today and it’s not sad tears at all. It’s happy praise-God tears. Its tears of joy, excitement, and amazement at his miracle-working power and how He manifests things in His time frame and today I got to get a glimpse…

  • 19 Days till Christmas!!

We are officially in the teens of our countdown till Christmas!! These past couple of days have been a bit nonstop (similar to this season): 21 days to Christmas I had a full day of meetings, appointments, errands to run, and a community holiday function. It was a day filled with highs and low including some great discussion, hard conversation, mild frustrations, lost packages, flat tires, positive staff bonding, and quality time with good people. 20 days to Christmas I had a work study break event, car issues to tackle, a bag to pack, and a plane to catch, and friends to catch up with once I arrived. 19 days…

  • Two Weeks Later…

Hi there CiggyChat Readers! I apologize for being MIA these past 2 weeks. I went out of town to visit family that I have not seen in 2 years and in the midst of that trip I got sick. Truth be told, I am still a bit sick but definitely better than when I started. So in these past 2 weeks, I had a chance to be with family and rest “doctor’s orders”. Though I hate being sick I am grateful for this time as it kind of forced me to slow down and think about what’s important and try to get my head back into this dreamer’s journey of…

  • Happy August!

Growing up my momma would greet me each month with a “Happy [insert name of the month]!” With the exception of January and April, it wasn’t really a holiday but it was an attitude that she had which I like to believe has trickled down to my brother and I. My mom is positive and inspiring and purposely comical in the best sense even when life throws various lemons and obstacles our/her way. My mom has a light within her that only God could have placed there and it is something that I am grateful for. In stressful times and seasons of my life, I sometimes let life get the best…
