  • Two Weeks Later…

Hi there CiggyChat Readers! I apologize for being MIA these past 2 weeks. I went out of town to visit family that I have not seen in 2 years and in the midst of that trip I got sick. Truth be told, I am still a bit sick but definitely better than when I started. So in these past 2 weeks, I had a chance to be with family and rest “doctor’s orders”. Though I hate being sick I am grateful for this time as it kind of forced me to slow down and think about what’s important and try to get my head back into this dreamer’s journey of…

  • We did it – Post 100!!

Can you believe it!! We made it to the end of this project!!! 100 posts in 100+ days or 4 and a half months (there may have been a few breaks along the way) but it was achieved! 100 posts in Not only is it post 100 but in my reslife world it is also new student move in day and we did that as well! This is my 6th year as a full-time professional working a move-in and my 10th overall in my reslife career so far! Anyway so excited to achieve this dream of completing the project and make sure to check back in next week to hear…

  • Almost there

This is the theme of the day almost there… “Theres” that I’m thinking of… A friend so close to reaching one of her big dreams we all sense it Tomorrow being a big day at work aka new student move in Completing this post challenge of 100 posts! In this almost there moment it’s easy to get tripped up or distracted or hurt. It’s like when you’re this close sometimes life is not willing to let you easily cross the finish line. Take a look at this video here. A few weeks ago I heard a great message where this video was used. It was a powerful reminder to turn…

  • Writer’s Block

I kid you not, I’ve sat down to write this post and nothing comes to mind. If you’ve been keeping up with me you know that I am in the midst of a lot with work right now so I promise that my mind is running and making it hard to focus. I apologize for this rather short post and moment of writer’s block but wanted to share something as we near the end of this 100 day project. Until next time, I’m CiggyG Post 93 out of 100 #the100dayproject

  • Living in the Moment

Full disclosure I absolutely struggle to do this: living in the moment. It makes sense though if you’ve read the tag line of this blog, I’m a dreamer! I’m constantly thinking of what is to come and will be. I think that is great in times of planning and preparing for the future but what about the current moment I’m in. It’s important too. It’s funny as a journaler (my made up word for one who journals) I love to reflect on the past and plan for the future. In more times than I prefer I look back and think about the things I should and could have done but…

  • Writer’s Block

It’s crazy we are so close to the end of this writing challenge and I find myself stumped. Unsure of what to write about it at this moment. I shared recently that in my work world of reslife we have a bit of trainings and events happening. That season is now upon us and with all there is to do in that part of my world it’s making it a bit hard for me to focus on my writing today. Hoping to be a bit more focused for tomorrow. Until next time, I’m CiggyG Post 87 out of 100 #the100dayproject

  • Momentum

Hi there CiggyChat readers! I can’t believe we are so close to the end of the 100 day project (more like 100+ days there were a few hiccups and breaks along the way). In being a dreamer, it is quite easy to dream and dream and well dream some more. However, the part I am looking forward to is achieving the dreams, accomplishing the goals you set for yourself. Accomplishing the small goals will continue to give you the momentum for the bigger goals and dreams. Just wanted to share my thoughts as I get near the end. Until next time, I’m CiggyG Post 81 out of 100 #the100dayproject

  • Planning

Lately, I’ve been thinking about the future and making plans for it. I shared previously that among my top strengths is Futuristic. So I am constantly thinking about the future. I am the girl that makes 5 and 10 year plans. They don’t always go according to plan but it helps me to have a goal/vision in sight. Generally, I have success or a variation of it that comes from the plan. I typically do this in my work life and was recently asked about what’s next in my personal life. It was a valid question and one I think worth answering but not necessarily one I felt equipped to…

  • Journal Prompts via Grit & Virtue

I shared previously that I hope to move forward with some journal prompts for my blog posts. A blog that I subscribe to Grit & Virtue and when they send out an email to their subscribers it is always something that is meant to inspire and uplift no matter what we may be going through and recognizing that we are not alone. I really appreciate the emails from them as it includes an encouraging note, some articles that are related to the topic at hand, and then my favorite journal prompts for the month. Here is the prompts for this past month of June which will guide my next few…

  • My Niche

Niche… As defined by the google dictionary is an adjective that means denoting or relating to products, services, or interests that appeal to a small, specialized section of the population. You may be wondering about the random word of the day definition given above. Well as I mentioned previously, this .com experience is a new one for me and I am so beyond pumped about it. However in most, if not all, of my research plus you know talks with those close to me (cue:looks at significant other) you must have your niche to make it out in the blogging world. Things like parenting, travel, food, fashion, and general lifestyle…
