  • Rejoice!!

Hi there dreamers!! Today’s a good day. It’s Easter Sunday and my birthday. It’s the day that Jesus rose again. It’s a time of resurrection for the dreams that God has instilled in you that you thought were gone. I’m excited for this time and grateful to celebrate my birthday on this day. Lately I would start a conversation about something I want to do or achieve with the words “I’ll try” and my sister would stop me and say “Don’t try, do.” I appreciate it because it has helped me to be a bit more intentional with what I’m doing. In 2021, I’ve been able to make new progress…

  • Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021

Can you believe it is the last week of 2020? What a year this has been! To be honest, this time last year I had no idea of what to expect for 2020. All I knew was that I wanted to pursue a bit more goals personal and business related. I’m happy to say that despite the craziness of the year the needle has moved forward in both areas. It has been a year filled with so much from a pandemic and global shut down, injustice at a breaking point where people all across the world were in protest, and the craziest presidential election in my lifetime. These are things…

  • Happy Thanksgiving

Hey there dreamers, This year has been a strange one to say the least. It was full of surprises and things that we’ve never dealt with and things that we wish we never have to deal with again. In the midst of the shock and lows that happen this year, God was always there, finding ways to bless us in the midst of the storms. A we celebrate Thanksgiving this year I encourage you to take a moment to pause and reflect on all that you have to be grateful for. According to Google, “gratitude is the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and return kindness.” So…

  • A Dreamer Interview

Hi there dreamers! It’s finally here. My first Dreamer Interview here on CiggyChat! This has been a loooong time in the making. I recently came across a voice memo journal that I created back in May 2016 where I talked about really making CiggyChat a full blog and doing an interview. I promise you the power of words is real. The things you write and speak aloud do manifest! I can write a whole other post about that and I will one day but back to the matter at hand…the very first dreamer interview is here! I had the pleasure of interviewing the one and only Zebretta Johnson aka Miz.…

  • Grace & Gratitude

Hey there fellow dreamers! I couldn’t let April come and go without me sharing an update. This past month was a lot, if I am honest with you, and there were so many different emotions I was going through…I promise you it was an emotional roller coaster. In my last post I discussed decisions and particularly choosing to stay positive and strong in my faith as my mom just went in the hospital last month and was on a ventilator. I am happy to say that she is now home and improving little by little which is truly a blessing. It was a journey to get to this feeling. She…

  • Season of Gratitude

Hey Friends and Readers, Can you believe it is November 2019 already? Thanksgiving is officially less than a week away. This is such a great time for us to remember and share what we are thankful and grateful for. I am thankful to God for all that He has done in my life, his grace and mercy, every step of the way. I am grateful to be His daughter and receive the love that He gives. I am thankful to my family and friends, near and far, for always supporting, praying, and encouraging me. I am thankful to them for the long or short chats, the laughter, the advice, hugs, words…
